Spring in the Lowcountry is a magical time. It only lasts about 2 weeks before the heat turns on so enjoy every minute of it!
New green grass beginning to push up from the pluff mud is always a first sign of warmer weather to come. Azaleas are in full bloom around Charleston and I was lucky enough to find some wild azaleas in Wannamaker County Park this week! A green anole was taking advantage of the sunlight poking through the tree canopy to sun itself and look for ladies. My most favorite, though, is finding the tiny flowers of the Spanish Moss.
Take a minute today and look around for early signs of spring in your area!
